ground power with charger

So I';m doing a ground demo with my hex, no flying but I want my pretty flashy lights working and video tx. I could power it with a lipo, but I';m wondering if I can safely power it straight from my lipo charger?
Or will my charger not like that? Don';t really want to blow anything up...

Cheers

DebianDave

I am going to guess that would be a bad idea, and might not even work. Lipo chargers have circuitry in them to adjust the current (A) to suit the battery charge level. If you don';t actually have a battery hooked up, I am not sure it would work...

Besides, LEDs and FPV gear use so little power, you could probably run them all day from a flight pack

Yeah that';s what I was worried about. Maybe I';ll look for a power supply at 11ish volts and a couple of amps.

All my electronics draw an amp on their own, might have gone a tad overboard with the flashy lights....
