compact Y6

i';m starting to plan out a Y6. so far i';ve got to, DJI E300 motor set (with extra normal props for lower motors), eagle tree vector for fully integrated fpv, and about a 450 size frame. i';ll make the frame, thinking along the lines of the arducopter Y6 frame. just got to get my wallet out now to get it started!

vector has now gone to beta testing for Y6. best get on with my build then!

well i ordered the vector sunday evening, so best get on. marked out the basics of the frame plates this evening. i';ll start cutting tomorrow. no fancy CNC for me, fine black marker and steel rule. plates are 1.5mm G10. got it from maplins, yes it';s pcb! cheaper than other sources of G10. just have to paint it. not sure about the arms, i';ve got some 15.5mm aluminium box, or i could go with wood for greater RF transparency. compared to my F330, there';s acres of space on the plates! once i';ve built it and got it trimmed up, i may find myself re-building my 330 with a larger lower plate to spread things out more. the worst bit about naza on the F330 frame is the lack of room to get the PMU out from behind the FC.

"do they handle the wind well" is the pope a catholic? i watched a sky hero / naza2 Y6 almost totally ignore the blustery wind at the northern august meet. amazing to watch. any way, my build will be in the own design section.
