Filmed some fireworks

Hi folks,

We had a firework display. It was short and I didn';t have a plan of how it was going to go, but I filmed a bit of it. Scary flying in the dark, but fun..

anyway, here';s the vid... I put my monica in the middle as the display company wanted to see it.

Did you need any special permission etc to film that, or did you speak to the fireworks company and they just let you get on with it?

nope, it was on my land, they saw my drones when setting up during the day and asked if I would film it and show them.

could hardly refuse an offer like that.   ::)

Cool, there is a big display up the road from me on Thursday...must admit I';m tempted, but probably wouldn';t want to get quite that close :)

Mind if I ask what settings you had on your camera?  Assume it';s a gopro3?

Sure,  it';s a 3 Black. Just set to  1910 x 1080  with 47.95 fps. Nowt special really.

Ah ok, I assumed you';d done something fancy like protune/manual exposure/white balance set to blah blah blah :)

Well, flying in a public place, especially after dark is a bit stupid.

I wasn';t in a public place, it wasn';t a public display, I had someone with me, wasn';t over a crowd, so I think I should be fine.
