The editing software does a good job of sorting out the Go Pro. 

Good comparison thanks, clearly the Panasonic is better, particularly in fine detail , but for a lot of uses i doubt it makes much difference.

Really not clear what  he';s done here,  since his comparisons show the same scene fov on both... So either he has placed the gopro closer (acceptable for comparison)  or zoomed into the footage in post... Which isn';t.  Also he should be using protune on the gopro.

FOV is not quite the same especially noticeable on the low light shot of people getting off the boat so looks like direct comparison to me.

Not sure protune can help with ultimate clarity just gives more latitude during editing for colour correcting  and most guides seem to say turn protune off in lower light situations as protune turns off the noise filters in the processor.
