New frame recomendations.

Looking for a new frame but would like a few recommendations please.

Currently use a Turnigy aerial heavy lift frame with Trex 500 undercarriage  and some squaure section ally rods sticking out front and rear to mount bits on, its a mess.

Looking for something for FPV and some aerial video with a Mobious and possibly one of the Go-Pro clones that are just hitting the market.

Currently looking at Tarot 650 cheap as chips on Banggood and looks to have loads of room to mount bits too. Also considered the Tarot 690 again not expensive but would I really need the extra stability of 6 motors, and what other advantages are there?

Will need new motors as well as the ones I use at the moment are ridiculously over powered, would lift a small African country. Would be looking to use 5000 4s lipos.

Was considering a TBS Disco but didn';t like trappys attitude on here a few weeks back so won';t be putting any money his way.

So please lets have some recommendations and some reasoning why.

Thanks

Stephen

Shame you have decided against the tbs disco, as I have the frame plates and arms in stock
if its just aerial video / fpv with a  mobius, then a little H quad, such as this would do the trick
http://makeitbuildit.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=30&product_id=135
but thats for a small 3s

for that size batteries you are looking at a tbs disco or bigger, theres loads of quad/hex frames about, some of it depends what you like the look of

Cheers
Phil
Many Thanks

Hi Stephen,im of the same opinion as you about trappy and his rumblings on here, his arrogance and pig headed ness is unbeilvable, that being said at the moment I have a TBS that flies well,im not in the financial position to change it at the moment, when I break it then ile look around for a different frame,Marty :scotland:

I';m of the opinion that you can';t beat doing it yourself, the fact that you know specifically what you want gives you the chance of designing something that you really want; it involves a lot of trial and error but when you get it right there is nothing as rewarding. If you want to have a go but lack the ability to do the design work I';d be happy to help. I';ve been doing a lot of concept work at the moment that is very interesting and has given me some really innovative ideas. I don';t really have much of an interest in fpv so any of my latest ideas would need adaptation,  this would result in less efficiency but would most likely be acceptable. Let me know if this sort of thing interests you, if not no problem!

*wonders how to get carbon copy made in Scotland (or UK) under name of TBC (Team Black Cow) . I would gladly fling hard earned cash at that project :) .

lol cant knock the TBS though ... attitude means very little to me to get what I want to do a certain job/task how much stuff have you bought that may be built/made by and absolute idiot ... just without knowing it , 99p items on ebay are apparently 70% money laundering set-ups !

makes no odds if he is a d*ck the product is a good one , I dont personally know him and wouldnt judge anyone off a forum with typed words (although he does come across like that lol) ... if you dont buy , someone else will .... lots of idiots out there and have been building and selling stuff for ever ....

Frankly most of the outbursts I have seen from timecop, where richly deserved by the recipients.

Ask him a half way sensible question or show him an error and you will get a decent reply or the issue fixed

Go on then give us a clue, I have no idea who he is.

kilby

He is the guy behind the Naze32 flight controller (and the hardware side of the Afro ESC) http://www.abusemark.com/store/

He doesn';t suffer fools gladly and he doesn';t have much time for GPS. As far as I can tell he just wants to produce the best flight controller (with the least frills).

I am told that if you order a NAZE and you pay for the support option he will immediately cancel your order and refund the cash

He also doesn';t like DJI

I can understand his sentiments, and his aversion to anything dji and don';t have a problem with them; to use these controllers you need an understanding of what makes them tick, this is relatively easily aquired if you are interested enough to find out. If not and you just want the knowledge dished up on a plate then you will never learn or understand the technology, and obviously have no idea what to do if anything doesn';t do what you expect it to - this separates the serious hobby user from the casual fad user - simples!

Now looking at the Tarot 680pro looks cheap on Hobbyking £72 in the euro warehouse, only comes to £80 with P+P.

Any feedback on it would be great.

Thanks
