Neat little trick to recover orientation during LOS

Stumbled on this nice little trick to help bring a quad back if it gets too far away to see what your orientation is when flying LOS.

Basically, just pith forwards a little, watch whether it seems to me going left or right then just turn in the same direction. It';ll then just circle back to you.

Will add to my bag of panic tricks!

Very similar to my strategy,  I do left / right pitch first and if it doesn';t go either way then backwards / forwards; the important thing to remember is to add more of the direction it';s going until it starts to go the opposite way then do the same again until you get back where you can see the orientation. As I only fly los it';s become second nature to me so is no longer a panic reaction.

I find the RTH switch works well in these situations.

i just flick the ioc homelock switch, pull back on stick, back it comes..
dont grow up,just buy bigger toys!!!!

The problem.with rth is you never learn to deal with the issue in the first place (a mistake I made in the first few weeks).

Once I started flying planks I had to learn to deal with orientation.PDQ

And if for some unknown reason it decides not to work???
