what is wrong with my cables???

After finalizing a new quad setup i am having issues with Blheli software, once more.
only two ESCs are recognized.

is it posible that long signal cables cause interference to each other, while tangled uppon each other, due to lack of space?
shall I crop everything down to precise length and remove all excesses; I do not use any torroid magnets at all, by the way.

An other thing is Blheli_s. Does it need any special treatment? or i flash as I normally did until now?

Longer wires = more resistance and it would be more immune to jitter if you cut them down, but shouldn';t have problems recognising them.

You can flash blheli_s with normal (current) blhelisuite (check you have the latest release)

Otherwise possible causes of issues are:

Bad solder joint
Try reflashing the FC
Bad USB cable
Windows update fragged your drivers
If using Dev releases of bf3.1 then make sure protocol set it oneshot, try a different Dev release (it is a Dev release, sometimes things get broken) or the previous stable release

Are u using genuine esc, or cheap knock off, cause I';m told there';s a difference.  Btw, also it bit of a jungle in there you use pass thru or what, try swapping round, logically of course.
Go to bed, sleep, wake up, enjoy life, then ****** go make it work, you';re a man it';s a piece of ******!

The thing is, I am aware of issues such as below, since it is not the first time I have delt with such issue:
- Bad solderings - I spent some time trying to do my best
- USB is tested and works fine with other quads,
- Drivers should also show problems with other quad, but they don';t
- FC also was ripped out from an other setup, and by that time worked perfectly with the ESCs
- Blheli Suit is V.16414801 - Shall I try a previous one before desoldering again???

- I am using AIKON SEFM 30A blheli_s from HobbyRC. Pretty sure its genuine.

Ok mate, some bits

1. We all try our best on soldering and we all mess up. That said, when I have ripped lux off one quad and used on another I find that occasionally for some reason I manage t leave a strand of wire or solder between the signal and ground on the esc pad, check that out
2. Drivers - have you tried other flight controller since you tried this one? (Microsoft patch set mid November caused all my drivers to bomb, I had to re install, I agree if it works on others then it is probably fine, but be sure it works on others
3. What have you got flashed to the flight controller (what version of BF or cf)? - suggest reflashing latest stable release

So I have tested one by one the escs with a usb tool.
One of them does not connect at all!!!

It must be a defective one!
I shall contact GetFPV for warranty

edit....
I just replaced the ESCs with little bees opto 20A and everything works perfectly!
I have also contact customer support, via mail and I wait for their response.
Finally, I order two more "AIKON SEFM 30A" ESC for replacemets.
So I just wasted Saturday Flying with this nonsense!

So regarding the "burned" ESC....

I have seen no smoke at all, or smelled anything that I shouldn';t have.

I have tried to resolder the signal wires just in case but with no luck at all.
I attach some photos from different angles in case someone more experienced can tell if it is burned or not.

First two are a bit out of focus, hard to tell if any of the smaller components are missing anyway without a comparison

However typically when an esc burns it is one of the bigger components, I chuck mine out when they blow, attached is the only picci I have ATM. Certainly yours are not typical of an esc that has blown

You may be ale to recover it by flashing fromthe c2 pins if it is a software problem but don';t have a pin out so can';t tell you where they are

Trimitsos

is thee any online guqide on how to restore throught c2 pins?

Nobody ever tried this procedure?

Anyhow, I have requested a replacement from GetFPV and my request was accepted.
So now I am waiting for the postman.... Well it will take some time since I got a message AIKON SEFM ESCs are out of stock....
Despite all that. I have to say that I am very please with the customer service.
