Don';t know if this is the right thread to put this in?...but I was flying my quadcopter in January this year,in a park near me.......carbon frame,RCX 2200kv motors, hobby king simon K flashed esc';s,KK2 board,Gens ace lipo.....anyway it flew into a tree about 80ft high,no way to get to it so,left it there, when I left it it was still plugged in,with LCD lights glowing!..........checked it once every few weeks, could just about see it as it had bright orange and yellow props.....time went by,..anyhow,went done to check yesterday, not there!..checked at the base of the tree, and there it was!...bit weather beaten but looked ok,with lipo still plugged in...took it home...new lipo........couldn';t believe it......worked straight away!!!..flew perfect!!!.........7 months up a tree in wind,rain,sun...and everything worked.... ~~ ~~.........just goes to show that the KK2 boards motors etc are really very good!!!!

This is excellent news! well done on getting it back. I don';t think I could of waited so long to get it back, Either saw the tree down (with owners permission of course) or get a tree surgeon  :help: if I couldn';t reach it myself, those guys are like monkeys up trees.

Glad it was all still working as well, bonus!

Thanks...........I did think about trying to chop the tree down etc.......but as I don';t live to far from were it was,it was no problem to keep nipping down there. The dog got walked a lot more!!!!!

What a great story love that.

I got mini stuck high up an oak tree, spent ages chucking logs up until my arm was shagged, came back later with some cable ties and a mini saw got a few silver birch whips lashed them together into a massive whippy pole and managed to prod the quad down. What a relief but my arm still isn';t right sure lobbing sticks up gave me tennis elbow.
