GoPro Hd lens scratch

got a nasty hanger rash (I know should be off/protected  ) scratch on my lens ... can feel it with my nail so quite deep !!!

any ideas please in polishing or wet flat and polish maybe or new lens if available or even possible?

HELP! ... or buy a mobius? lol

I have found nothing avail in gopro replacement parts. I have a black with bad Miniusb port since after tearing down I learned of gopro not soldering all 4 tabs on port.
  As far as polishing I would be concerned of your image afterwards. Rather then one big fisheye in view you will probably end up with two fisheyes in veiw. The original factory and the new one you sanded and polished.  Sanding the lens will create a crater looking flat spot on a rounded lens.

I bought an old GOPRO non HD when I first got in to Quads - the GOPRO with 2 AAA batteries not a rechargeable - it worked very well till an arrival on the bungalow roof scratched the lens ...

I ordered one of these replacement lenses off Ebay and after a lot of fettling and swearing managed to get the old lens out without damaging the very fine threads - then screwed in the replacement ...... but for the life of me I can';t get it back into focus 

There is an image but its way off ... I';ve haven';t got the facility to connect it live to the TV like later GOPROs as there';s no cable connection plug - so can';t do what is recommended and screw it in and out till I get a good picture on the TV .. so its down to taking loads of pictures over and over - and checking each one - I';ve even tried making a video and screwing the lens in and out to see if I get a good picture somewhere in the video - but all to no avail. If I adjust the lens when live videoing my fingers come into focus very close to the lens - but everything else is well blurred 

So I think it';s either a crap lens - or I';ve damaged something - or I need to persevere - or I need to sling it in the bin

Mine is very old - it';s NOT HD and has no connection for live TV - and has no rechargeable battery - and ....no screen
