Hi my attempt very short video. not great production but shows the gist....http://youtu.be/dGjxrLph_eo

Went for 330 ohm hi and low and 1kohm in between.

Awaiting power switch at the moment.

Also there is lots of space inside. I have seen a speaker upgrade also might look into that, does seem a little tinny.

Just the X-3810 to do now.....

I';ll bite  ::)

Why not just buy the official six pos switch from T9 for 4 quid or so? Only three wires to solder in and fully supported by OpenTx?

Other than that, well done, looks very neat, far neater than mine would look (rats nest)  ;D

Oakie

no sorry can';t find a reason. Just like to. I also find it helps me keep my hand in. Oh and improve my video skills.

what can i say ';once a ham....';

I will look at that switch by t9, i';ll do a google

Thanks for the info

Bit dearer than I remember when I got mine, £4.79, think I paid less than that.

As I say, really nice job on both the video and the mod. You can bet there would be smoke if I attempted something like that  :smiley:

Not fitted mine yet, still waiting for that flight mode selection switch from JDrones to be released (more vapourware?). Might still put it in tho';, I';ve no use for all the pots.

Oakie

 :o Never found it  :sick:

that would have done it. the number of searches i have done.....

As a taranis user i will keep that link thanks.

Even asked in this forum. :wack0

Are well, Thanks for the link.

Oh well.

So i can take that switch i have just made up any way to use on my x-3810, i';ll order that switch from T9, maybe let him know of the forum. He may like to add his company to the list of suppliers, don';t you think?

Murphy strikes again!

Since your post reminded me that I had the switch, I fitted it yesterday. Dead easy job, done in half an hour.

BUT

Damn thing doesn';t work :cry

I can only get 4 positions from it and every time I turn the radio back on, it has gone back to being detected as a pot :angry:
I am told that some are very noisy and the firmware can';t detect the separate values.

So back to T9 to complain (probably futile) and buy another switch  :angry:

Oakie

Have you done the pot re calibration in the set up menu?

Thanks for the warning. I';ll let you know, mine should be here for tuesday.

If it is faulty, then one would hope that T9 returns it for testing.....
