Hi guys

Just got a Ublox Neo6 GPS to go on a 250 quad. I';m going to be using a new flight controller with it. The item is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351034699014?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Question - Do I need to mount the aerial against the main board ie. hot glue or do they sit side by side?

I know that they need to be the highest point on the frame.

Typically, the antenna is "mounted" to the clear side of the circuit board.  I usually use shrinkwrap to keep the two together, feeding the antenna wire through the large hole in the circuit board.

In terms of mounting, I';ve had these working well on the rotor arms of a DJI 450 clone, so height is not too important - a clear view of the sky is, even if it is through rotating propellers.  I';ve never had a problem with them.

Awesome, thanks for that :)

I';ve got the same gps as well and you can  solder the gps unit to the PCB tabs on the back.
