I had a Drift HD720 mounted to the front and my brother-in-law was holding a GoPro filming. The split screen was done in iMovie on a Macbook Pro. Pretty easy to do - hard bit is getting the clips sync';d up.

Thanks - I use iMovie, just never tried that ...

To get sync going try making up a Clapper Board - the visual and audio should then be easier to align across the two streams.   

Even if no 3rd person to work the clapper just a significant noise would have the same effect. ~~
