Hi
Need some opinions if you listen to the motors about 1min into the video you can hear a motor make a noise is this the motor or the ESC causing this. Hope it's not the controller.

Thanks

The video is Private. You';ll need to make it public for us to see it. ~~

OK maybe it wasn't in public :whistling:

I used to have that weird high pitched whine. Lubricated my bearings with motor oil and it disappeared.

Thats if you';re referring to the high pitched whine!

If you';re talking about that bit of a stutter I would check all of the solder joints from the outputs of the esc';s to the motors, could be a joint breaking down - also I wouldn';t fly over the tops of tall trees just in case!

billmac

Hi
Checked all the solder joints and all other connections it all looks to be good. I also oiled the bearings hope to get out beginning of the week and try it again. It's like one of the motors  RPM speeds up.

guest325

In that case it might be worth re flashing the firmware in the esc';s - you never know!

HowDoIfly

I hear a certain noise (like a sharp spike in revs) starting around 57secs which, watching the whole video seems to correlate to a yaw input so I';m inclined to think you';ve either got a heading glitch that is being violently corrected and/or your yaw PID is aggressive? But I';m purely guessing. Oh, otherwise those motors sound lovely and smooth to me.

After checking the disco over I took it out yesterday and went to the Lecht to film some skiers however low cloud prevented that so had to make do with this. Disco is working well again.
