It wouldn';t have been worth it, I';d got nearly 60% left when I gave up ::) ::) My flying buddy thought I was crazy even trying to fly, he was tempted to fly his pylon racer but bottled out..... wusss ::) ::)

I am so put off flying in any kind of wind - almost every time has been "eventful" culminating in my near loss in Summer.  Admittedly there were a number of other factors at work. But the mental impact made its mark    It is with a bit of trepidation that I attempt a flight in anything more than a modest breeze.   

Still, its got to be done I suppose. ::)  We do live in the UK.

that looks pretty cool, wouldn';t mind one myself, fancied one for a while after seeing a few videos of them in action, maybe some day.

i don';t mind a little wind say up to 10mph, anything more and it starts to take the fun out of it unless your flying with it, but against is nippy.

His Pylon racer weighs 800gms AUW with 200W on tap - my swappable FT Bloody Wonder I';m just finishing off weighs 625gms AUW with 250W on tap - should be fun!!!

Yes, it was cold wasn';t it?  Some very nice pictures there Simon, makes it all worth it doesn';t it?
I live down the road in Market Harborough, maybe we could collaborate on a video/still project sometime?
I don';t get a great deal of time for meets & stuff in winter, maybe when the weather improves a little!
Let me know if you have any ideas.  Old Tom looks interesting, but I know somebody has done that one.

Not sure where Old Tom is but I';ve already done Old John in Bradgate park.
I';m almost city centre glenfield hospital side of leicester.
Have you done Foxton locks or Rockingham castle or race track over your side ish?
Im only managing early mornings at the minute as its dark when I';ve finished work. Roll on the light nights!

Ah yes, ';Old John';!  Is that video or stills?  I haven';t done the locks as yet, got some footage of the canal as it nears the locks before Christmas, but the locks themselves are the ';biggy'; (all 10 of ';em)!  I don';t like flying when folk are around, so weekends are out.  Probably best early morning on a weekday, a holy grail for me at the mo tho!

I only shot a small amount of video in 4k. Have yet to find somebody with a 4k tv to really see the difference lol
