Have a look at this guys videos http://www.youtube.com/user/ARENDATOROVnet?feature=watch. Ranging from the simply stunningly beautiful to outright crazy. Apparently he';s using some sort of repeater array to get the amazingly good reception and range.

Well worth a look.

nub

cool but dodgy, the music of the last one he uploaded made me smile

and talk about dodgy telephone wiring or is it electric?
Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

How does he get that range low flting between buildings?
Found no video descr. just he uses a tbs pro with some over 4000mah lipo 4s I guess...

looks like a fox 800 video transmitter with its case removed, its 1.2ghz so going around buildings would not be an issue for it unlike 5.8ghz.

don';t think they';re legal in uk .

Repeater array.. Where did you read this?

There was some speculation on the DiyDrones forum about how exactly he was managing the impressive ranges with no break up. One of the members got in contact with him and eventually he intimated that he had used repeaters at least  for the video sited on various radio towers around the resort.

Boy does have talent if a bit reckless.

Hands0n

Bonkers, but definitely a talented flier. How he didn';t hit any of those cables is a sheer wonder!
