hello guys, can anyone help me find where I can buy the bolt on type prop adaptors for rc timer BL-2380/13 850kv motor with 4 bolt fixing positions as per photo.  hole spacing diameter is approx 11.5mm.  Wish I had a milling machine to make my own. thanks for any help.
If I can find this bolton type adaptor I will try it otherwise I am spending 85 quid on a set of dji motors but would rather spend a few quid lol.

Gav

did you have to chop off the original shaft or did you fit shorter shafts when you tried the bolt on adaptor?

Gaza07

I tried to turn the shafts around so the main bit stuck out the bottom but I couldnt shift em so I used a dremmel with a slitting blade and cut the buggers off   ~~

Gav

will use workbench grinder for mine lol.  masking tape round the motor so I don't fill it up with filings lol ^-^

Gaza07

Should be ok just keep it cool coz if you let it get to hot it might affect the shaft have a tempering affect or something like that  ~~

Gav

yeah I know as already ground them down a little already.  maybe hacks saw and then file it smooth to avoid the heat.

Gaza07

Yea that should work as long as they aren't already hardened and blunt the saw  :whistling:

Some pics of the prop adaptors and fitment method lol

you need to check it is central before tightening down the fixing screws.  There is a fine amount of adjustment you have to play with.

Gaza07

Look forward to your report on these Gav as I could do with some for mine  ~~

TEST flight has given excellent results.  Zero wobble / jello on fpv live feed from hard mounted camera to the frame.

I was running 10x4.5 props as 8" props did not provide enough lift with these motors.

conclusion = bolt on prop adaptors help a lot with regards to vibration, and I would recommend if your motor accepts them (not many do though DOH!)

Gaza07

Thanks for that Gav I will add some to my next rctimer order, as ive got a few 2830s  ~~
