SMA resistor (or similar) to guard against burning out Tx/VTx

does anyone know of any small device - resistor or similar - that I could put on my Crossfire Tx module and VTx's to stop burning them out in case I forget to put on the proper antenna?

I really like Crossfire, but the antenna on the module is a bit of a pain - it won't fit in my Tx case with it (the antenna) on.  I try to remember to set the Tx to a non-CSRF  model profile, so the module won't be on when I next power up the Tx, but it doesn't always happen.  I quite often just end up pulling out the CSFR module to be certain, but that can't be good for the module pins/sockets.  TBS do say that the module should be okay for several hours without the antenna attached, but it still makes me uncomfortable.

likewise, on some quads I take the VTx antenna off for transport & it's just a matter of time before I power up the quad without the antenna attached.

sooo ... does anyone know of a small device I could attach to guard against this?  I know there are stubby 5.8GHz VTx/VRx antennas & that would do for the quad, but would that work on the 900MHz Tx?  I'm not actually after something that would work as an antenna, just something to safeguard the (V)Tx from burning out.

I believe that a 50 Ohm resistor is the normal way of terminating an antenna connection. You can buy them here: 50 Ohm terminators or you could just make your own. Only problem is you do need to actually put them on to protect transmitters!!!!

thanks Ched.  I might get some of those stumpy 5.8GHz antennas, just to make myself feel better.  :)
