Foxeer Predator V4 WDR makes it hard to land

On the whole, I find the Foxeer Predator V4 a good FPV camera, but the WDR has some drawbacks for me.
Often, when coming in to land on an overcast day, when I slow down and level up the camera sees a lot of white sky and ramps the gain right down. Ths makes the ground practically black.
The docs on the Foxeer cams seems a little sparse to me. Anyone have any ideas what I can try.

It would be a shame to turn off the WDR as I'm sure it's helping a lot (one of those things you take for granted but will miss if its not there).

I hear a few things about remote control - would be nice to have a 'landing mode' where it turns off the WDR or meters at the BOTTOM part of the sensor.

Pffft. Tried setting up the camera control on my FC. Did all the things, didnt work so I just ended up fiddling with the settings a little with the little jooystick thing. We'll see how we get on with that.

However, I DID manage to fix the RSSI display in the OSD. Trick was to turn OFF the analogue RSSI mode in Betaflight - didnt realise it was a digital signal. Now, got to figure out what a save threshold is for an alarm.
