Taranis qx7 and r-xsr

Right

I am loosing the will to live.

I bought a taranis q7 from bang good and cannot get it to bind 

So going through the whole of the internet I found the following:-

r-xsr has to be euro lbt-correct (i even reloaded it with the cable)171103
q7 has to have euro firmware and software
downloaded open tx updated -correct
downloaded xjt european version and uploaded. 151223

Right i am now on my second version r-xmr having broken the button of the first one!
I have tried the standing 2m away trick.  I have checked the order in which i turn on turn off.

Still cannot win.

Right i have tried again and failed.

I have now loaded another version of open tx version 2.2.1 cca71808.

I have reloaded my xjt internal firmware151223.

I have reloaded my r-xsr receiver with firmware171103.

I have one question.  The firmware on the frisky website is this the same as the opentx or is this something for the xjt module. frisky do not provide any information?

Should i buy a different type of rx and try with that.

Opentx -operating system for the radio, it has NOTHING to do with binding.
To bind the internal xjt module firmware needs to match the rx firmware (typically people have more than quad so the trick is to flash the rx to match the radio)
170317 is the latest firmware for xjt module, you appear to be flashing VERY old firmware to it (15xxxx) it won’t match the versions on the rx, that is why you can not bind

Download the latest xjt module firmware, flash lbt to the internal module, do the same for the rx and it will work
