Use Spark with DJI Goggle and iPhone simultaneously?

I just splashed out on a pair of DJI Goggles for use with a certain selfie drone that I'm 'hoping' is wrapped up under the Christmas tree.  I haven't been able to use them as I've nothing to connect them to yet, so I've been doing the usual and trying to satisfy the itch by surfing the web for videos, articles and advice.  From what I've learned the DJI goggles work wirelessly via occusync with the Mavic Pro and via a wired connection (to the remote) for Phantom 4, Inspire 2 and Spark.

Lots of people seem to have experienced issues since launch with software updates being needed (drone/phone etc.) and some cables not being compatible, but I think that's mostly been resolved now.  From what I know the iPhone X is compatible with the Spark and can be connected directly to the Spark remote using a DJI OTG Micro usb to usb cable (not all third party cables are compatible apparently) and a standard apple iPhone lightning cable. Which is good as I understand the wifi connection is weak.

The DJI goggles connect to the Spark via either a USB 2.0 micro usb to micro usb cable (quite rare) or via the included micro USB to USB cable and a DJI OTG cable. But can the goggles AND a phone be connected to the Spark remote (and provide fpv + maps etc.) at the same time?

If I get a micro usb to usb splitter can both the phone and the DJI goggles be wired to the remote and function correctly? Or does the phone have to be connected by wifi if the goggles are connected to the remote via cable?

Has anyone tried it by any chance?   :hmm:

Hozza

OTG doesn't work between the spark controller and phone since last update

Do you mean the October 31st firmware update or the most recent go 4 app update? I understand that dji never officially supported the otg cable but some people are saying it still works (as of end of November) as long as everything's connected and turned on in the right order?
