Dshot doesn';t require you to calibrate the esc end points. So I would use Dshot.

As for PIDs, leave them as standard. Most people find them fine. I would say that unless you really know what you are doing stay well clear of PIDs for the time being. They wont stop you flying.
+1
Stock PIDs tend to work with the average quad well enough

I';ve been tweaking and tuning for the last couple of days from scratch, I now have it about right.

It turns out it is only a couple of points out from default  :rolleyes:

Why do I bother ::)

people always talk about how high they get them, I find, particularly on my more powerful quads, I have to tune down, but it very rare stock isn';t reasonably foyable

ok things sorted out, big thanks to everyone who has tried to help me out, i assume everything is configured and maybe tomorrow a test flight, i didn';t know that these high kv motors were so noisy. Lets see how it flies. i am not sure this is a right machine for me

On another note: NAZA M LITE BUILD......, i have spent more time fixing my s500 with naza m lite then actually flying it. Today again went to a park to fly it, the quad seemed to be ok, the weather was bit windy, the machine was handling it, was flying in gps anti mode, did a few circles and nice drifting, and gaining and loosing attitude, decided to try the failsafe function and disaster the machine went crazy and awol and went in reverse gear and started doing strange acrobats and banged a tree and came sliding down, few parts flew here and there but lets see if i can access the damage tomorrow.  :banghead:
