The sliders correspond to the correct input, however even after many calibrations the a couple of the sliders dont reach the full stop point, even though the stick is physically as far as i can push it?

Thanks again for any help, i understand this must be getting boring now hahha. I think i need to set the TX up from scratch  .... just dont know how

ched

That sounds like the end points are not set correctly in the tx. I assume you have tried the ';calibrate'; button on the rx page of the assistant? YOu just click it them move the tx sticks to their full limits each direction a few times.
I will see if I can find out how to set them for your tx.

Don';t worry about boring. We have all started somewhere and needed help along the way.
I try :-)

Just had a quick look and on the Dx6i they call setting end points "Travel Adjust". So go into the tx menu and make a note of what they are set to before adjusting them. Once you have adjusted them go back to naza assistant and recalibrate the sticks on rx page.
I try :-)

On further investigation found this about calibrating the tx sticks.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8gU_x3vBBw
And this on setting up the dx6i for a quad. Basically it tells you how to create a new model on the dx6i so you keep the existing settings you have in case you need to go back but start with a blank set of settings. The video then goes on to talk about CleanFlight not Naza but first bit might help.

If you recalibrate the sticks on the tx you will need to recalibrate the Naza on the rx page!

Hope that gives you some clues?

Have a search on youtube for ';dx6i naza setup'; lots of videos.
I try :-)

As far as I can remember with spectrum you have to set the throttle bottom range to full. Haven';t done one for a while. :hmm:

Thanks so much those last couple of videos helped a lot!

So the issues with the TX are now fixed .... I can arm the motors and they spin up in GPS Atti mode. they seem to respond correctly to the inputs too :)

However ive now lost my U channel settings so need to set up manual mode again so that i can naza dance/ calibrate :)

We are sooooo close hahaha

Thanks again for your help guys!

Great to hear you are getting there.
There are a few youtube videos on setting dx6i and naza flight modes. Might be worth a look.
I try :-)

Hello all!

Firstly thanks for all your help! You have made this a hell of a lot easier for me :)

So it got in the air today! Got gps lock blinking green light then took off ....

However .... after being in the airt for about 5 seconds it starts to oscillate out of control .... Imagine if you will a coin spinning on a table just before it stops. Or a plate being spun on a stick ... Best way i can describe it!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Congrats on getting it in the air.

Was it still green flashing or did it flash a different colour? I assume you did the compass calibration?
Only other thing I can think of is the gain settings on the assistant. There should be recommendation for a F550 somewhere (google maybe) and the adjust the gains.
Gains are sort of how responsive it is but too much or too little can cause oscillations.

Remember if connecting to the assistant PROPS OFF!!! I know it';s a pain to keep removing prop but they can cause bad injuries if they spin when you are not expecting it.
I try :-)

As above it sounds like the gains are a bit high  causing oscillation.  Too low gains tend to make the response sloppy. Go gently, drop then a little at a time. Well done getting airborne.
