Motor replacement U818A

I had a motor fail and bought a set of 4 replacements.
I';ve replaced the motor (red/blue cables for red/blue cabled).
Reassembly no probs but when I reconnect the drone battery, the motor I replaced starts to run immediately.
Pairing the controller is possible but trimming makes no difference.
It will fly but off at an angle.
The motor IS operating in the correct direction.
I';ve tried a hard reset by removing all batteries.
Also it now will fly/run for a short while then fails to respond to the controller......that then has a continuous beeping (out of range beep?).
The only thing left to do is replace the AA controller batteries...which I don';t have to hand. Coincidence?

Don';t know a lot about that quad matey but by reading on here

QuoteMotor requires a reset.

To reset the motor, you will have to take apart the drone to reach the motherboard. Once at the motherboard, you will have to find the cable that goes from the motor to the motherboard, and unplug it and plug it back in.

beeping sounds like low battery worth replacing them to check like you said.
usually after replacing a motor you need to recal in software but not sure on that quad if it runs any
