Guys, sorry if this is a bit of an annoying post to answer, i have built my large (600) quad and need to get the gains about right, if it helps i have 40amp esc`s (BLheli) and 3108 700kv motors and 11" props, the weather has tuned wet and windy so i dont have the option to keep popping up the field and trying it then home to change repeatedly, so just looking for a ball park figure to get it close. Thanks in advance

Only have a heavy f450 but main gains lowered to 90 on pitch and roll. Vertical 150 I think higher too unstable in prop wash depending. My attitude gains are about 170 to make it responsive. Sorry can';t be of more help.
Think might be easiest for you to put gains on tx potentiometers to get close on field adjustments.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
I try :-)

Ched, thanks for the fast reply, i think best to wait for decent weather and take laptop to field with the quad and see how it responds and make adjustments while over there

Must say just set my gains in field using chuwi hi8 win10 tablet. Was so much easier in field. Take off see how it flies, land plug in tablet and tweak, then repeat. Very easy. Found easiest to tweak main gain to get oscillation then back off 10. Then up attitude gains to get response I wanted. I found vertical gains only really effect depending in prop wash. Too Hi and oscillation.
Still not worked out if it';s possible to get more pitch in gps or attic mode. Feel like it could be faster 😀
I try :-)
