hi all has anyone used futaba s bus connectors on a quad or hexacopters any advise would be great .

Digit

What do you mean by Sbus connectors?
There are Futaba connectors, but Sbus is a way of communicating between the RX and FX.

tone50

hi i was hoping to connect 6 rotars using one cable but what i have seen they only do a 4 connector or a 2 way connector so i would have too use 2 cables ?

Digit

If you';re talking about connecting the ESCs to the flight controller then you will need to connect them individually.
Sbus is simply for connecting the receiver to the flight controller.

LuMan

As per Digit.

I';ve used SBus on both my S550 and Ghost Quad, and I';ll be doing the same again with my Robocat 270 build.

The main advantage is the single cable connection to the FC - cuts down on a lot of spaghetti in your craft! Technically, you can also use a single-wire cable for the connection (as opposed to the 2- or 3-wire leads), so long as your Rx and FC have ~5v and Gnd elsewhere.

However, if your FC doesn';t support fun things like LED controllers, retracts, camera/gimbal control and such like, then you';re better off using the normal servo connectors to connect to the FC and have the spare channels on your Rx to control other stuff.
