Looking for a couple of 16Gb (maybe 32Gb) micro SD cards for DVRPro or SJ4000. Anyone know any reputable suppliers who have good prices?

Cheers
I try :-)

Amazon. Buy direct from them (not third party or market sellers). They';re competitively priced and the service is excellent. I';ve only ever had legit SD cards from Amazon.

Argos are cheap and easy, I get mine from there as a rule... http://www.argos.co.uk/search/sd-card/category:33026276/

Any class 10 card should be fine, though you';ll be able to transfer the data from the card faster with a U1 or U3 card.

Tesco';s (and probably the other supermarkets) quite often have good prices on memory cards they tend to be Sandisk never had an issue with any I have bought.

Emax nighthawk 280,Emax x4,Blade 350qx3,dx6 (gen2),fatshark doms v2.

Why avoid Sandisks? as long as they are Genuine ones (There are a lot of fakes on Ebay and the like mind) then they work fine I have used loads of Sandisk devices from Mainstream retailers without issue Can';t say the same from Cheap places tho and can';t vouch for MyMemory either way as I don';t think I have used them

Wouldn';t buy anything but SanDisk personally. Very good for blackbox use as they have a particularly low write latency. Also I';ve never had one die.

Why avoid Sandisks?

I avoid sandisks as they caused so many gopro3 problems with lockups, as the cards (which Gopor were recommending at the time) could not maintain their advertised write speed (as card filled up they slowed down). Rather than admit this Gopro cobbled the Hero3 firmware to recognise sandisk cards and lower bitrate to avoid problems and cover this up.

I heard a rumour Gopro CEO Nick Woodman has some family connection to Sandisk so not sure if this was related.

There are enough other brands, I';ve just avoided sandisk point blank, I';ve had good experience with PNY, Integral cards which are cheap and have never caused me any problems.

What spec Sandisk card was it though? If it was for a GPH3 it must have been a while ago. IIRC Sandisk didn';t do a card that was recommended for the GPH3. I ended up with a Delkin one for mine. There have been several generations of micro SD cards since then. The U3 specs cards are silly fast and that';s what I';m using in my GPH4b and Session 5.

Thanks everyone. Think I will go with mymemory as they are decent prices and free delivery.

Looks like Amazon are generally a bit cheaper (and their returns and customer service is fantastic), but I benefit from free same or next day delivery as a Prime member so it';s the go-to memory card supplier for me. Especially on deal days when they do impressive further reductions like a class 10 SanDisk Ultra 64 GB microSDXC card with SD adapter for £15.  ::)  MyMemory looks good too because of free standard delivery.

As the OP purpose is seemingly complete, I';ll add my experience.

I must be really really lucky from reading a lot of the above advice/experience as I have not experienced any issues at all with any memory card, micro or otherwise.  I have bought on stated class required for the device and price, and totally ignored "brand". Even bought secondhand refurbished for my old (stone age!) but superb lensed Compact Flash card camera, no issues!

Recent SD Micro purchases have come from Banggood.  These were going in and out of the Development Horus and a couple of my laptops like a fiddlers elbow with frequent tests and updates to firmware over six months and never an issue attributable to cards.

Never an issue with Horus (2), Taranis, Mobius (3), never an issue with Keyfobs (lost count!). I have also used them to transfer data between 5 computers inc via converter/adapters.

I don';t use and don';t intend to use GoPro by direct choice so can';t comment.

I tend to buy large and fill small, if that makes any sense at all!!  ::)

I bought what I thought was a genuine SD card off ebay - I checked the card with ';memtest86'; and it showed the 32gb that I thought I had purchased was infact a rebranded 8gb or something.  Anyway it had errors on the test - I forwarded the memtest86 results to the seller and got a refund.
There are so many counterfeit memory cards out there! Best to pay a bit more from a well known retailer.

Ordered a couple of Sandisk 16GB Ultra (£5.99 each) from mymemory. Ordered a little micro sd to usb reader for £3.99 as well.
Cheers for the advice, Happy Flying.
