What a boad of lollocks, what';s wrong with a decent torch if you';re on foot or a decent spotlamp array in a car???
If rally cars can see well enough to drive at the insane speeds they go at with a decent set of lamps the average driver if they have to drive such places should invest to see where they are going!!!

my thoughts exactly, what is the flying time of those octacopters, how far from the base, how many bases, object avoidance, failures, all just senseless.
Torches are pretty neat now, if you must go high tech put one on a backpack pole with a gimbal, for the car the same nine foot pole and light guards so you don';t blind yourself but UAV? madness!
