30m of persons rule, UK retailers flying in shops

Quick question, how do UK retailers get away with flying demonstration quads etc within shop, well within 30m of a person (usually inches from your head!)

Us responsible flyers abide by the rule yet retailers in full view of everybody do as they wish without action..

Indoors flying is not subject to those rules. More a health and safety thing as well as their public liability insurance

People get away with a lot of illegal stuff anyway. How many kids get arrested riding "swegways"?

They';ll only get away with it as long as no one reports them. I hear that Maplin have been warned many times for demo';ing multi';s outside their shops and they, at least at my local branch, seem to have stopped now.

The Coleraine branch of Maplin have been reported to the police and CAA several times for such flights.

The local flying club received several messages from their head offices saying that all branches had been told not to do so

Though the flights continued from that particular branch.

Then again the self obsessed individuals in most branches (ever had a conversation with one who doesn';t claim to be an expert in everything) seem to think that they don';t even have to obey the the laws of physics ;(
