Best colour for tail lights?

It';s quite misty today, but I';m determined to get out for a couple of packs later this afternoon once I';ve earned enough points.

I have some nice, bright RGB tail lights that help me get oriented and I have them on red because I just like the colour. But does anyone have any opinion on what the best colour is for VISIBILITY (esp in light mist)?

I hear that the eye is most sensitive to green which is why green laser pointers seem brighter than red.

I tend to use red on rear for my builds but my phantom is about face, having green rear and red front

Using a green strip on mine my mate finds its easy enough while fliming etc

the best colour for fog or heavy mist is a high red hue, typically a light almost day-glo pink works best as it falls exactly in the spectrum were light reduces its dispersion rate in fog (therefore you get a clear return from the leds and not a glow in the fog) this makes visually identifying your frames orientation incredibly easy.

I had red-rear, blue-front on my 450. You';d be surprised how good blue actually is! I was told blue is excellent in most light conditions,  hence why most emergency services use blue flashing lights, but I don';t know if there is any truth in this. Worked well for me though 
A front light was also useful when I was flying in poor light.... Rear light is good when your flying away, the front helped me virtually double the distance LOS flying

I left them on red as they just looked BADASS - as it happens (thx shawdreamer) the red cut through the mist VERY nicely indeed. It got quite thick (naturally, I flew well within visibility limits, keeping LOS and ability to see people etc  ::) ) - the darkness was starting to draw in on my last pack.

Looked BRILLIANT and I ended up practicing some orbits till I started getting a bit dizzy.
