Well after falling in love with the idea of annoying the mrs with something different it finally is here in all of its glory  ::)

Also included in the box are
1 spare set of 44mm tri props
1 7.4v 400mAh battery
1 USB 2s Charger

And of course the obligatory Chinglish user manual which was about as useful as professor Stephen Hawkins giving a bakery demo !!!

After much faffing about using Betaflight as it says in the manual with little luck I decided to try cleanflight and what do you know straight away it loaded up!!!
So I then decide it would be a good idea to flash the latest software to the board (ok I admit I am a bit of a sadist)
After looking at the wonderful chinglish manual and seeing that it is a sp racing F3 EVO I flash it with that

Well that was the beginning of the nightmare 5 hours later and many many software tools I managed to recover the board and had to flash with spracing F3  not the EVO version.
So things that I had to find 1st the boot pins these are carefully hidden under the battery lead between the 2 rear motor connectors.
After a whole load of faffing about and flashing many many different software revisions to the board I finally managed to resurrect it from the dead, the first thing to remember to change when using these wonderful little controllers with brushed motors is to go into CLI and type the following
set motor_pwm_rate=32000
save

this will prevent your motors from screaming at the top of their range when you install your battery I found this out when setting up a lt105 and nearly slicing the tops off of 3 fingers but that was another story :D
So now I have a fresh install of cleanflight on the board the setting up should be fairly easy yeah right!!!
So after finally finding the correct settings for the onboard receiver which are
Spektrum 1024 and in the case of the radio I am using TAER1234 (devo 7e)

So I am now going to see if I can find a decent set of PIDs to start with (any suggestions gratefully received) and set this beast up.

The initial hover test has the quad drifting madly to the left so need to see if I can fix that also it is so twitchy on the controlls I need to dumb it right down any ideas ????

My initial joy of receiving this little drone has been kind of overshadowed by the problems I have had with it but these are all minor so I look forward to getting to grips with it once I have it set up properly.

The output from the camera is excellent and I cant wait to try this out for fpv round the house I might even get this upstairs without destroying the blades. On set number 4 on the LT105 and still no closer to getting upstairs in one piece another twitchy quad if using outside would probably be fine but indoors it is too responsive so tends to hit walls, ceilings and dogs (honest it was a accident)

Managed to flip it and smack mrs on head that is not an advisable maneuver.

Right so any suggestions on how to dumb down the controls using deviated devo 7e or using clean flight ????

Oh and the one major annoyance with this little quad is it has a integrated buzzer you can hear from mars so don't be setting it up at 2am or you will feel pain.

Neil :D
Mr,Mr, Can I have a go

EH ??? Don't You ? Mr

Saleem

Wont turning down your pids reduce yaw, roll and pitch making it less sharp, this is usualy the cause for probs on indoor quads  os they are nippy and the faster the rates the quicker they tend to get and hence things getting outta hand fast.

Need lots of "expo" (dulls response off centre & cranks it up from mid throw onwards). Try adjusting super-expo too (pushes the gain towards to the far throw of the sticks).

Can you screenshot the PID page  in Betaflight & post it?
