Nova/CX-20 GPS mode issues

wasn';t sure whether to post this in here or the quads board so I';m sorry if I';ve got it wrong, but I think this issue may be more a programming error rather than a Hardware problem!

Right then, bought this thing months and months ago, after several flights trying to get it usable I majorly fell out of love with it and it';s sat on my workbench ever since. que about a week ago when I ran out of projects and decided to give it another go.

wired it up to D4R-II on CPPM, set everything up, calibrated the mag and confirmed it was reading correct. set up the mode switch and confirmed it';s making the correct selections. Last time it flew stabilised was ok but dodgy at best (PID';s wrong) and the GPS modes sort of worked (Loiter was poor in anything other than dead calm but RTL worked ok) so this time I did some digging and "borrowed" some PID settings published on a forum and were known to be "good" on this platform. stabilised is 1000x better than original settings but it still not quite 100% locked in as far as wind is concerned but that';s just going to need a bit of tweaking.

The GPS modes however, appear to do almost nothing! Alt hold works ok but that';s off the barro, loiter literally does nothing (a little change in attitude shows it has changed modes but that';s it), same with position hold. It just drifts off like it would in stabilised. RTL however causes the quad to just tilt in a random direction and fly off BUT it doesnt employ any altitude regulation, the result is no different to giving a continuous aileron or elevator input on it';s own. The direction of tilt seemed to be at random. before anyone asks yes it had GPS lock  ;) on the second test I even gave it 10 minutes on the ground after lock had been confirmed just to make sure it had settled and plugged in to mission planer the GPS appears to be giving correct co-ordinates.

A friendly poke in the right direction of what to look at would be most appreciated as I appear to have dumped most of the stuff I originally learnt! which is annoying as I';ve just planned another 2 APM builds!!

Here';s the PID';s I borrowed
