Aux channels above 8 how to get and use them

Hi all

A quick question I hope

In this link http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/channel-7-and-8-options/ it says that in v3.3 channels 9 to 12 are now supported as AUX channels but how do you use or set them up. I have a 10 channel radio and only see and can use up to 8 channel, where are the channels above 8 hidden.

Thanks

Paul

How is your receiver connected to the flight controller, what brand is it?

Paul-H

Its a Turnigy/FlySky i10 10 channel connected via PPM

Thanks

OK I';m not sure how many channels are encoded in the PPM from that, if you don';t get any answers later today I';ll try hooking a Turnigy one up to a Naze32, eight might be the CPPM limit on that.
It';s quite hard to find details quickly and I have to go out so I will be interested to see what others say.
I wonder if it is possible to use the PWM channels at the same time as CPPM, I see mention on Arducopter of that method.

Paul-H

Thanks

Unless I am looking in the wrong place for it

This is my Extended tuning page were the channels upto 8 show should I be seeing channel 9 & 10 here or are they hidden elsewhere.

Thanks

Paul

On the Naze and cleanflight the channels only show up if the configuration supports them (AFAIK).
Otherwise it';s like having a 100 channel selector on a TV where there are only 50 channels broadcast.
You (ideally) need to know if there are 10 channels being transmitted as part of the PPM used by that version of firmware before you go looking for them in the software.

I found them, or I think I found them, there are in the Standard Params list

Not sure if they are working though, or not working on my Setup

I tried the lost model alarm set to trigger from channel 9 and then channel 10 and it did not work.

So I am either still doing something wrong or its not recognising the full 10 channels from my receiver although it works fine on the first 8

Will have to play some more.

Here is a screen grab of the appropriate page with channels 9 & 10 being set to do something, but nothing happens when the assosiated switches are used.
