What Firmware

Whats the quickest way to find out what firmware is loaded onto a crius board?? Looking through all the pages in mission planner, it doesn';t seem to mention anything about what version its connected to.

Click terminal and when you enter the cli the version is displayed there

Brilliant. Thanks Gaza. That was quick. I can confirm Im running MegaPirateNG 2.8 R3. Is this the latest proven version? (still on this gimbal problem  )

Yea that is the last official release version there is 2.9.1 in the SVN but I wouldn';t touch it until its released which seems to be taking for ever, gimbals are one of the things I have not played about with so cant really help you with that problem

Im beginning to think the board has a problem.  Last time I had a gimbal running on this board it took like a 2 mins to set up.  Just selected the channel tweaked the limits and it worked first time. I';ve been on it for hours and hours and still no joy.

Was your gimbal working with the same version of the firmware before ?
Anyone else reading this know what the problem is ?

When it was working I didn';t know what version of firmware was on the board. I bought it from peter king a while back pre loaded. I had my fpv camera on a 2 axis gimbal which I quickly realised wasn';t the best idea as it made fpv flying a bit spongy as couldnt tell what quad was doing whilst the camera was so well stabilised.

Obviously since then I';ve learnt a bit and started doing stuff to it. I';ve flashed it with 2.8 and tuned it all in to get it flying spot on. I have now bought a gopro and attached it to a simple gimbal. Went to set it up as I did last time but with only one servo so nice and simple and no joy. Only other change I';ve made is the radio equipment but as far as I know the gimbal operates independently of radio signal.

Its so frustrating.

Maybe you should drop Pete King an email he may be able to shed some light on the problem for you he has set a lot of copters up

Finally got it working.  It was on channel 6 or RC6.  I had tried RC6 several times but for some reason its a bit hit a miss taking the change.  It may be because of the recent mission planner update. Im on 1.2.36.........???

Anyway, thanks for your help guys. Im happy now.
