What is the best firmware for the crius V2?

What is the best Megapirate firmware version to run on the V2 boards, that is good?

I seem to be having a bit of trouble hehe

2.8 is the latest Alpha release, 2.9 is available in beta, but has bugs, also more involved to install.


Would stick to 2.8

I have a apm 2.5 coming at the weekend I will try this too, the crius v2 is doing my head in now lol

I should have stuck with the NAza systems I have, but I wanted way points

2.8 is available in a Zip for the Crius and the installation is well documentated.
2.9+ is beta and unless you want to beta test would leave well alone, it also requires more work to install as you have pull the files from the repository (ie: its not available in one file)
The APM firmware installed through Mission Planner.. so no need to use Arduino like the Crius.

From what I`ve read the apm is no better than the crius pro V2 board , the apm`s big pro is that the firmware is design for that board , and due the Megapirate firmware been a port is slower the get the latest and greatest firmware release.

The hardware is very similar between the two boards..

Big advantage of the APM is that you will get faster updates and improvements..   MegaPirateNG is lagging by three months behind Arducopter at the moment.
