Pixhawk on a Tricopter How do you change the tail motor swing direction

Hi all

I am trying to use a Pixhawk on the Tricopter I am building and although everything appearers to be going to plan I have one problem I cannot resolve.

The Tail motor Yaws in the wrong direction to the stick movement

If I move the Rudder stick left the motor swings left as well, how do you reverse the tail motor swing in mission planner. I tried reverse RC7 changing from 1 to -1 but that made no difference.

Anyone know how to do this

Thanks

Paul

Hi bud. It';s been a while so I can';t remember exact details, but somewhere in the config there';s the option to reverse output ch7.

I think it';s called RC7_REV

When I had that problem on a tri I reversed yaw on my tx, worked fine.

malc

do you want the tail to go in tx direction or head in direction of lever?
mine does the same as yours

That won';t reverse the direction of what the FC is telling the servo to do, only what you';re sending with your TX.

If you rotate the tri and the servo is correcting the wrong way, you';ll have to reverse it in the FC. If it';s correcting the right way but going the wrong way with your sticks, reverse it in the TX.

EDIT Sorry malc, I didn';t read your first post properly. As Darrell says, reverse it in your TX

Thanks for the replies guys

Unfortunately I never got to the root of problem as during testing one of the ESC';s gave up the ghost and gave out the magic smoke and appears to have dumped full battery voltage up the signal lead and the Pixhawk is now not very well. Motor 1 & 2 now run at the same time and 4 is dead and so is 3 which I found out after flashing a quad firmware just to test it out on my test rig.

Expensive lesson learned and back to the KK2 for the tricopter
