Cleanflight gtune not adjusting PID values

Hi

I tried cleanflight 1.11 running gtune.  Following the instructions I realized that the values are not adjusted. Also the flight behavior proved this.

I also ran 1.12-rc1 with same result.

Running the same procedure with betaflight it worked like a charm. Incl saving values.

I use the sp3 fc. From my understanding gtune should be supported for this fc. Anyone saw similar?

Thanks a lot for any help

Absolutely not, Gtune tends to push my p through the roof, you sure you got it set correctly on modes?

hm

maybe then I should give it another try.

I used for both SW the same settings and the same procedure. Tried with Cleanflight several times and saw no change in the values. With Betaflight one try and it worked.

The only difference was the duration of try and the space available for testing (garden <> park).

I';m a little confused as well. As its a new feature introduced in 1.11, there are different sources and statements how it will work.
-Will the GUI as well show the changed values before saving?
-Will the PID be zeroed before?

thanks for your answer - was what I needed to give it another try and not to think that there is a bug inside the SW.

So I have to check by myself and at the settings to solve it.

cheers

Gandhi

You could try cranking P up a bit higher than it should be before you try gtune. It should then drop it down if it';s working. I';ve not tried it on cleanflight but it was broken on betaflight for a little while.

There are CLI settings (which I don';t recall at the moment) which effect how Gtune works

I took the chance to went outside for a longer test - rain went less.
A longer flight and more space to try did the trick.
So values are adjusting but it needs more patience then expected and more space to fly then originally available.

Thanks to motivate me to continue trying :-)
