Does anyone use the SJCam 5000 plus in a Gimbal?

Hi, Looking at buying a friends TBS Discovery Quad but want to put a gimbal under it.  Another friend has the Walker 2GD gimbal and said the SJCam4000 fitted fine, but looking at a couple of You Tubes, the SJ5000plus does sit correctly in the Gimbal  (I want the 5000+ for the 60fps at 1080).

Does anyone use the 5000+ in a gimbal, and did it fit OK.  if so, which gimbal is it.  If anyone uses one at all (in a gimbal), please could you let me know any issues you had getting it into the frame. Looking at spending around £50-£60 for a 2 axis gimbal.  if need be will buy the 4000 knowing it fits, but really want the 5000+

thanks

I have a Walkera G-3D gimbal, a GoPro Hero 4 Silver and the SJCAM 5000plus and I can see that the SJCAM 5000plus is slightly thicker (i.e., front to back width - height and width across the front looks identical) than the GoPro, so that may be the issue.  It may have to be retained by elastic bands rather than the thin metal retainer that came with the gimbal.
I';m waiting on a rail mounting kit coming through the post so I can put it all together, but I may trial fit the camera to the gimbal over the weekend (although I am a bit busy with other stuff, so I can';t promise I';ll manage).
I';ll post some pictures if I do get to it.

I can confirm that the SJCAM 5000+ does NOT fit into the Walkera G-3D gimbal properly. It is too big all-round. My GoPro Hero 4 Silver fits fine. I don';t think this camera will fit neatly into any gimbal. In my case, the camera plate on this gimbal has a raised edge all round, which the GoPro fits snugly inside. The SJCAM5000+ on the other will have to sit on top of this edge. So, I can';t use the securing bracket and the camera could also move off centre fairly easily. It just depends how well I can fix it to the camera plate.
