After seeing the limited selection of LED bumpers on eBay which the majority looked like they were lifted straight off thingiverse, printed, and sold with a large markup, I thought I would embark on designing and making my own.

Nothing spectacular, made a few for my own quads to start, now making them for people I know and fly with.

Any ideas on how to spice them up more? I have plans for the ';Flying V'; bumper, and others with space for XT60 integrated..

They look great! Which CAD software are you using?

you';ll find alot of parts bought off many sites are basically 3d printed designs.

its not just ebay.

hobbyking, banggood and gearbest all sell various lens protectors, cam mounts and frame add-ons that are obviously 3d printed (and all have prices that just dont reflect the cost of printing them).

its the main reason I always recommend getting even a small printer if your serious about multirotors, it';ll save you a bucketload in the long run and gives you alot more scope for modification as with a little practice you can design whatever you want that suits whatever needs you have.
