New Imax B6 AC /DC charger thoughts

 used one for a year or so before it died, they work but are not the best, the quality is crap if you open it up, the switches are held on by a strip of double sided tape.......

get yourself one that can do two or four lipos at once, much less irritating

Just tested it but seems great if a little plasticy. Nice to be able to see charge curve and each cell voltage etc all on screen at same time.

Still probably B6 based but 4 lipos charged in an hour or less    It would need a beefy powersupply though

It seems looking at other peoples 1C charging times my Imax B6 is doing a similar job.

They will. The C rating is a multiplication of the Ah of the battery.

1c on a 1500mAh battery is 1.5A. Therefor it will take ~1 hour at 1.5A to charge from flat

1c on a 8000mAh battery is 8.0A. Therefor it will take ~1 hour at 8A to charge from flat

So ignoring balancing and assuming the battery is totally flat, 1c will take an hour for any battery/charger combo. 2c = 30mins. 4c = 15mins, etc..

If you look at the description this is a copy of a skyrc imax b6, and from other forums the copies are rubbish. I have been using a genuine one for years and it has been excellent, my only gripe is that it can only charge up to 5a, but as I';ve moved over to 250 quads that is not an issue, great charger, just make sure it';s a genuine one (not sure how hobbyking get away with selling knock off kit)!

SkyRC is the brand, iMAX B6 is the model.

I bought mine from hobbyking, and am pleased to say mine was a genuine one, you can tell as the genuine ones have a sticker on the bottom, when you scratch it a skyrc hologram is revealed, the newer ones have a hologram sticker on the bottom, no scratching required.
