well its been a long time since i';ve bored you guys eh

so i thought i';d make a thread for my ZMR250 stuff ::) i usually say something in the shoutbox but thought i';d share it with you guys properly, don';t expect nowt fancy though

1st up some ground footage from one of my 1st flights of the year, its been a few months so mind i';m a little rusty.

http://youtu.be/erOHaDSC5Uo

up next we have a short clip of some 6x3 prop testing, no tuning just threw them on, the DYS 1806';s seem to handle them rather well and the afro 12A too, they weren';t even that warm when they came down. i have some 6x4.5 plastic props but they';re quite a bit chunkier and heavier (maybe 30% i';d have to check), not sure how the motors will handle them, might try them we';ll see but would prefer to up the motors.

http://youtu.be/KFaG_7IM050

next, well i';ve not decided yet but i shall try to make it a little more interesting maybe add some obstacles or something lol ;)

Point and click.

No vid, nub.  Just YouTube telling us they are upgrading to a newer version.  :-/

flybywire

Second one';s fine, why don';t you knock the ';s'; off the http!

Keep it emax, capiche?
Hardware? sure, I got hardware!

nub

fek knows whats going on they should link to the videos now, i';ve tried posting without the ';s'; but then it messes up to some device support link.
Point and click.

Both are playing OK for me

nub

yes but i';m trying to do as flybywire says like i would usually post a video without the ';s'; so the videobox comes up, when i try to do this a devicesupport link is added to the link along with some BB code

i post this *http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erOHaDSC5Uo* it previews ok but when i save the post it changes it too

[u*l=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKY3scPIMd8#ws]https://youtube.com/devicesupport[/u*l]

does it in chrome too, strange maybe some dodgy malware or something

Both playing for me on Chrome - like it Nub, good to see you back in the saddle ::)

Okay - I';ve got it ...

Google are updating their server side stuff to support Mobile devices better.  Their search engine now biases to mobile-friendly websites before the not-so-friendly ones.

This problem is a transient while Google are updating YouTube and will probably last a few days until they';ve completed.  Nice of them to warn people!!!

You should continue posting using the pukka YT URL that has the https:// in it.  If that is what is being offered to you when using the YT Share link.

Https link

Http link (should be videobox)

http://youtu.be/s8WXOtD2I2U

Now the URL clipped from the browser URL bar

First in HTTPS:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8WXOtD2I2U

Then with the S stripped - HTTP

https://youtube.com/devicesupport

Cracked it - Nub, try again, but this time use the Share link instead of the copy/paste of the URL bar

kilby

I think its part of a bigger Google update as a lot of ';smart TV'; YouTube apps are currently broken too.

Of course its hard for me to tell because Virgin Media have cocked up YouTube by trying to cache data, except as usual they have done it badly
Not much kit, but what I have I like

Good work, I guess from the vibes in the second video they are gem fan 6 x 3?

Revs

Excellent flying there Nub, you got skills bud ~~

nub

cheers guys

probably JT the mobius is strapped to the frame with some sponge which doesn';t do the job that well.

I use HQ 6x3 and have my gopro mounted on a hard plastic 15 degree wedge, no vibe dampening and no jello. Those gemfans are just too bendy ~~

nub

think they are HQ 6x3';s plastic props but they do have quite a bit of flex compared to the 5x4, the 6x4.5';s on the other hand are rather stiff but i don';t think the motors will handle them too well.

a gopro upfront :o

i need to sort out the way i mount it, i';ve had issues for ages, just been kind of lazy about it.

yes, 4s seems to not care about the extra few grams, I have it cable tied on so it breaks away in any nasty crashes. Both cams angled up at 15 degrees makes all the difference  ~~

nub

fek aye i';m quite liking that gopro on the top, maybe one day.

here';s the state of mine currently
