Dead lipo

I';ve got one 3s2200 turnigy lipo and it';s dead as a dodo. Its on 0v.

Is it a gonner or can it be revived back to life. It';s one I havnt used for ages.
If its a gonner what is the best way to dispose off it?

The rest I store between 40 to 50% full.

Friskle

If reading 0, its dead, at that stage i would just stab a few holes through it, chuck it in some salty water for a bit then in the Green Bin.

If it is zero volts, just turf it in the bin. Don';t stab it because it will leak. Sounds like it had a bad short to be zero volts.

Bit of a story..

The other day I left my 250';s battery connected. A brand new nano 40-80c 1400 3s. I realised when I got to the field when it didn';t have enough power to work the battery tester  When I got home I plugged it in to the charger and that wouldn';t detect it either.

That didn';t deter me!

I told the charger it was a 7-cell NiCad and charged it at 0.1A for about 15mins. I then plugged the balance leads in and charged it as normal. The previously dead cell now read 2.8v and was charging. My charger charges super slow until all cells are over 3.3v, so it took about 5 hours, but it charged! Internal resistance still reads the same as it did and it seems fine.

I';ve only half discharged it under light load so far but it seems good.. much to my surprise.

Leak what exactly?

the compound is bio-degradeable anyway.

So what about if it';s a 3S that';s at 8.5v? I left one untouched for a couple months, went to throw it on the charger but it wont do anything because its voltage is so low.

Yes I';ve heard the trick of a non balance charge to kick some reticent cells, but personally, if it were me, I';d bin it, I';d sooner risk wasting a few quid on a lipo that ';might not'; be dodgy, than risk my hardware ending up in the bin (or worse).  Friskle, you must have a very liberal waste management system where you are, mine wouldn';t even let me put Guinea pig s*** in, let alone Lithium polymer!

Do not waste Guinea pig  poop, put it in a composter. The resultant product will make the veg  growth phenomenal, and add a delicate flavour.
