FPV Racing AirGates

Hi All,

As quite a few of us are looking at doing FPV mini quad racing there has now become a demand for airgates, loops, cones etc to build the course.

Well a local company (HoverSpeedRC) to me has decided to fill the gap and create some of the best airgates I have seen and of course even better as they customise them to your liking...

Start/Finish Line

Branded Start/Finish line, well my dreams have come true lol Excellent size and should stand out very well in the goggles and race video';s

Middle Gate

This gate is so vibrant, its going to work in the open or in the forest and just look amazing in the goggles

Pylon

This Pylon is almost 2 meters high, it should be quite forgiving on the quads if we have contact with this as there is a large buffer zone between the outer edge and the pole in the middle, our quads should bounce off it on tight turns. The flag at the top is free to rotate into the direction that the wind is coming from so should give the racer the info they need to know before they enter the turn.

All the items are fixed into the ground using tension strings, this will allow them to be used in crazy wind conditions if your race day takes a turn for the worse weather wise and of course are all water resistant, I have felt the material they are made off and its top quality stuff, no way is a prop going to rip or tear these.

Now would you believe these are just prototypes! WOW at this quality and they are not even finished yet I can not wait to see what other products they come out with, seems so much thought has gone into the design and manufacture 

I have not got my hands on these items yet but as soon as I do I will post up some test video';s

For others asking about the Airgates and Pylons,   i have been asked not to advertise in this section,  and rightly so !   Shortly we aim to drop the details into the trade section,  i  am more than happy to help with Specification and questions,  though.

We are a new very small little company ,   we aim to get our stock in line and website up  before going heavy on advertising.

Remember to keep your mobius facing forward though like me !   cos thats where James is,  in front LOL.  it would be great one day to be able to turn my mobius 180 degrees and actually find someone in the video,   other than James or JamesB72 lapping me of course ! !

Lol its all for fun mate, it wouldn';t be such a fun race without you on the course  I can';t wait to see the new cases as well, should be a game changer for me as I wedge everything into an old Epson Projector bag for my travels to flying sites

Received the Hoverspeed RC gates Yesterday, big thank you to Mike, the weather was terrible with a very strong winds but we had a few races, churned up some props and had a good time. The gates are excellent and I can';t wait to test them out on a day when its not such bad weather, as you can see the gates are standing without the need for ropes but there is a option to tie them down if its gale force winds  ;D

Great stuff James,   

Well the Website is coming on good,   we are pretty much on target,  somewhere between Monday 23rd March  and  Wednesday 25th   should see the Website live to the Public,  this is solely dependent on website publishing and our link to order systems, being robust .

Construction has started already on some of the special steel parts,  for the pylons and 3D gate,  Or Own stock of our new Blend of material has turned up,   so its taking shape nicely ,   even some boxes of eyelets !

so  its make the most of Sunday morning';s flying,   before a busy Monday !

i will try to get back to here to post the actual opening,  as its only on here and Google+  circles

we are starting the first week with Airgates  later we will add the 3D gates  and then the NANOGATE     followed by the remaining course marking and mat systems,   then  the Flight boxes,  chairs and tables.

Website is looking awesome Mike, I like all the separate designs/colours and having the option to get a course or just a gate will help build some wicked courses. I wish I had my flight video from the last course we setup, that was an advance course indeed but when the clouds came over your gates were still visible from a great distance

  Yeah , i think i got course building slightly extreme with that one James ! ! ! ! !   LOL      it was nearly a fast obstacle course,   ha ha ha ,      but i was really pleased with the gate "POP"  in the goggles,   as that run we done from the far end of the field by the nets at high speed was great,  i could visually lock onto that gate from over 140 meters away,  and at that point non of the other "make do" gates or posts were visible on my Skyzones,   not sure how you saw that in your Fatsharks ?

Thay looked good from my preds Mike very visible with any background top stuff  .also looking at a take off / landing pad but not sure what sort of grafix to go for how do I chose .

   Just thought i would add a few words,   we now make 4 material/build options for the gates,  the reason we are doing this, is to aim at giving the customer what they want !
   We have had suggested to us that the gates will give or cut if hit by the quads at speed,  and that is exactly what that standard custom gate should do !  it is designed not to damage quads and be easily repairable at the field, with the HoverspeedRC repair patch in under 20 seconds.
  But some mention that they do not want it to give so readily !  so we have released the 4 build options

build 1 )    a 120 polyester,  very soft and ultra flexible design.

build 2 )   our standard Custom graphic gate, in UFlexR material similar to Jab1a ';s  and MetalDanny';s

build 3 )  as above but with additional double thickness at edge,   a tougher option

build 4 )  our Full Custom print gate, able to retain full photo quality graphics and in the very tough UFlexRX material , and again available as double edge too !     now this gate may impart damage to motor shafts and arms  but is tough

Remember repair patches are totally FREE to all HoverspeedRC customers and all we ask is the postage!  the repair patches are virtually invisible to the camera,  and most onlookers would be unaware as the repair is identical to the original material,  and possibly tougher too !
