the ts5823 will work yes

the cam will yes but you will need to make a cable or buy one from them

and no not all 5.8ghz, YOU need to look at the channels listed such as 5740 etc

hope that helps ~~

The FatShark and ImmersionRC gear is using what';s often called frequency band F.  However this is not a standard and not every manufacturer names the bands the same.  In general it';s better to check the specs of the VTX to see if the following frequencies are supported (all in MHz):

5740, 5760, 5780, 5800, 5820, 5840, 5860

The TS5823 you linked does support these.  I haven';t had a good experience with this VTX in terms of image quality (yes, even the revised model), but other';s say it';s fine. YMMV.

thanks qf i changed mine post to 5740, lol so many channels to remember

Heres a list of compatible transmitter

TS5823
BOSCAM TS832
IMMERSIONRC 600
FT952

there maybe more

FatShark 250mW
Aomway Micro 200mW

If you intend to get better antennas for the VTX make sure you check for SMA and RP-SMA connectos.

ImmersionRC, FatShark and Aomway use SMA
Boscam and Skyzone use RP-SMA

Always check the specs of the VTX, especially if you buy an expensive set of antennas.

Don';t get your knickers in a twist.   I was adding to your list in response to the OP.  He asked if all 5.8 VTX will work.

wow thank you such great info,  all noted,

and what sort of MW on 5.8 would you guys run (hypotheticaly it is the uk )  that is a good balance of power consumption and range? my math is very rusty im not even sure i remember how to work that out..

many thanks again guys  :beer2:

Power consumption depends on the wattage of the transmitter, the efficiency of several components on the VTX and then if you also power a camera from the VTX.  If you look at the specs they should tell you a power consumption or current drawn.  The ImmersionRC 600mW consumes 3W and requires a minimum of 6V to operate, thus it draws at most 500mA.  I haven';t looked at the others'; specs but suspect that they will be less than that.

My VTXs are 200mW (on the label).  I have just ordered a set of lobes from Gav want to try out a UK-legal 25mW VTX with them to see how well that works.

They';re fine as long as you don';t go past 200-300m distance.

As for the TS5823; I';ve done a side-by-side against the 250mW FS and can';t see any difference. Not tried the TS5823 in the field as yet, though.
