naze buzzer on all time?

ok so i hav a full naze in my 250 there is no gps module fitted so the gps is still turned off in cli

so when i fit a buzzer it just has a continuous tone, very annoying!  that is with nothing ticked in the configuration tab for features
but if i tick  the feature "enable battery monitoring voltage" the buzzer then bleeps fast continually

if i fit  a battery  to quad, then you get (over the continual tone) the profile bleeps are there.. not sure if that means anything

fecking thing is close to being replaced with the acro naze i took out  and being wrote off as faulty

i saw a video from the guy at ARMATTAN he has had lots of bad naze32, so much so that he has cloned the naze acro and made it with better quality parts so he says and sells cheaper,

which of course makes me think ive got a duff one because i have been extra careful with this one, but as its soldered and i didnt test it first i guess i wont be returning it ,and it  could still be sth ive done i guess

so any ideas? this is the same with clean flight as base flight but there is a difference the bleeper makes three fast bleeps slight pause three fast bleeps,

oh dear and i just thought this would be simple to fit  as ive used the acro naze lol how wrong was i?? :banghead:

Do you have the battery voltage alarm on, that';s the usual cause of the buzzer screaming constantly.
Edit, dunno how I missed your bit about voltage monitoring.  :banghead:

I';m sure it';s a config thing you may have overlooked somewhere, but don';t forget, you can always set your buzzer up on a spare channel, like any other device, then configure it to a switch, and on when binding failsafe.  Or simply plug it into your Rx like i did on my cc3d, simples!

From memory you need to set the battery levels and a multiplier to get the value correct.

There have been some not so good batches of maze acro boards but considering tc was assembling all the boards himself it';s not really to surprising.

The problem was that tc was a complete dick to Chris (Mr Armattan) which is a complete shake because Chris is one of the most helpful people you could ever encounter.

The problem is he may be a nice guy but he doesn';t take carp from anybody so he got the mullet onto the market

cheers guys,  i will endeavor  to keep trying , fbw do you mean like using it for a lost model alarm on a switch? that what i have been doing on the old acro and what im trying to do here

ive read there is some buzzer stuff in cli im looking for a list of what it all does if any one can point me to one? i think i can turn it off in cli but that kind of defeats what its for , im not very oh-fay with the cli and command line stuff yet,

yes   kilby  ive been reading the tc and  Armattan  stuff the bloke (TC) seems  not to be a people person! i get this feeling from reading a few  of the replies ive seen him give on other forums

The LiPo is fully charged, and LiPo voltage shows correct in Multiwii conf.
I guess this is a parameter setting, but I need some help on what parameter I must change..

rev5 that shipped with old firmware, the buzzer logic was reversed.
It';s been fixed in r429 (but that one has other issues), so use r461 hex file.

Save your settings, upgrade, and load your settings back.

quite old though  anyone know what buzzer logic reversed means?

From that tc is saying theu messed up the firmware and the buzzer is doing the opposite of what it should be doing.  Triggering the buzzer is quiet when it should be audible and audible when it should be silent.

They seem to have fixed it in release 429

Was that dated quite a while ago because Multiwii conf is mentioned and tc didn';t about at him to use Baseflight configurator

Sure forest!  You could try cleanflight first?  Anyhow, if you can';t faff the FC buzzer control, just hook it up to a spare channel on your Rx, and configure it to a spare switch.  Then make sure you trigger the buzzer on bind, that way you';ll have the buzzer on if you lose signal.  I use this method with my CC3D, but I';m gonna try using the dedicated buzzer hookup on my Naze acro when I get around to it.
BTW, I would never use a low battery alarm, they are notoriously inaccurate.  I always use the timer on my Tx, or OSD/telemetry, or both!

i did flash clean flight on to it yesterday and the problem was still there but it was three bleeps fast then pause then three fast bleeps  today i took the naze off the quad powered it with a bec and plugged a buzzer on it just sounds continually bloody thing,

so ok i want to have a buzzer for lost times in the heather i fly over . on a switch.. how do i go about that? where do i plug it in ? to the channel on the brake out cable to the rx? do they have volts enough for a buzzer ? trigger on bind? sorry im a bit confused  where to stick this thing !

Ok.  THe standard HK model buzzers http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__57198__HobbyKing_174_Discovery_Buzzer_UK_Warehouse_.html?strSearch=buzzerhave some circuitry onboard, that detects the PWM signal and turns the voltage from the Rx on and off, depending on how you set up your endpoints on your Tx. THis supplies enough current from your BEC to make it beep (trust me it does!).  I assume you are familiar with setting your Tx up with the endpoints?  If you are using CPPM (one wire) on an FRsky Rx, then I think you need to tell it to use some spare channels for PWM?  I';ve not had a chance to mess with my FRsky Rx yet!  I';m sure you can get 8 channels out of a 4 ch Frsky Rx using PPM/PWM, just can';t recall how!

Have I confused you even more?!

What Tx/Rx are you using here BTW?

no im with you almost 90%, im using a pwm and i do have that buzzer you linked to and this one https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=31793 and cos i didnt see how i could use them ,
i took the buzzer off of each one to use as a naze buzzer  i will solder one back on and nowi can see how to use them.

so i plug it ? on one of the aux channels from the rx to naze?
my end points at set 1000 and 2000
ppm is my next sortie in to the unknown  ive seen the frsky 4ch rx are used by many but i didnt know what was useful about them ive got a fly sky i6 TX and i6 rx not even sure if it is the same protocol
thankyou :notworthy: for taking the time to explain some times all it takes is simple language,
rc is a massive learning curve for me and at nearly 50 things are slower to sink in!

I';m 54, so there';s ';ope for yer yet!   Yes, use any available free ch to trigger the beeper, assign your tx switch to that ch, then simply fire everything up, and move your endpoint of the switch (which is set to the position you want, i.e up for off) so the beeper is off, the flick the switch to down, and move the endpoint until the beeps sound, then rebind your tx to your rx with the beeper on, and throttle usually off.
Job';s a goodun, as they say!
There are other types of buzzer around, which go between rx and a servo or esc, and trigger after no impulse for more than 20 secs or so, but i prefer the simple ones.
Incidentally, i found that the turnigy lost model alarm which i described above, works in the data port of a spektrum AR8000 rx, and trigger';s on failsafe, don';t ask me how i found that nugget out, as i';ve had a drink since!
