So first question is:-

Can u switch between self levelling and non SL whilst in flight?  when I do the thing flips and dives for the ground.

For no reason whilst flying on a seemingly random basis the 250 flips and goes unrecoverable, I don';t have any confidence in it at the moment to even think about FPV, anyone got any ideas whats wrong?

It does the random flips in both sl and on sl, although sl does wobble a bit and ruin the flight characteristics, setting for that im guessing.

My set up is below.
ZMR 250 carbon frame, emax mt1806 motors, mystery 12a ESC, Flip32+, 5040 props
9x transmitter

You can switch between flight modes while flying.  You will need to assign one of the three way switches on your Transmitter to one of the spare channels and then configure it on your flight control.  Or you could use horizon mode, which is self level but when sticks are pushed to extremes allows the multi to flip.

That list is endless, from poor solder joints to dodgy components .... check your joints, if you don';t find anything swap parts one by one until its stops!

Sounds like you need to tweak the PIDs, i suck at PIDs, but i';m sure somebody will be along shortly to help!

Youtube is your friend and its likely all your points above will be covered there and have a nice person telling you (usually in quite a long winded fashion) how to setup Modes switches for your TX and FC.

I know there are good guides out there for PID, but i find fiddling is best as its all personal feel!! ... Start with P, Move to I then D
