Hi guys, I bought this controller about a year back and only now pulling it out of the cupboard. I think its an alexmos but I';m unsure where to start with it. Does it take a 12v or 5v supply? Also what GUI do I need?
Thanks in advance.

Gav

Looks like an alexmos type yes.  As for the software you will probably need an early version.  download from here: http://www.basecamelectronics.com/downloads/8bit/

Start with the oldest v2 and launch the gui and see if it links to your gimbal board.  If not try the next version up. It won';t be higher than v 2.2 I';m sure, if you bought last year.

Don';t forget to install correct driver first.

I may be wrong with the above but it';s what I would try if I got given that board.
Cheers
Gav

Ps have the sensor board hooked up to the gimbal board when you launch the gui, so you can see if it';s reading the position.

hi jamie,

they are normally powered by a 3s lipo, so 12v. but initially you can connect a USB which is 5v and power and program it that way.

Always smile because you never know who could be falling in love with it. :) Drone Operator in North Wales. www.aerialworx.co.uk

Great, thanks stef.
Do you know what GUI I';d need to program it please?

Kitetraveller

The GUI you need is at the link above.
Make sure you go for the 8 bit system, not the 32 bit one.
Cheers
