Got myself one of those multistars from HK before they sold out and figured I';d share what I';ve found. Can';t say I';m completely satisfied with the flight time, but it could be my setup. I flew 3 different batteries on my ~2.2kg AUW fully FPV equipped Tarot 650 with 12" props on 740kv mt4006 motors and here';s the results:

E-flight 4S 30C @ 5600mAh: ~8 minute flight time
Venom 4S 40C @ 5000mAh: ~8 minute flight time
Multistar 4S 10C @ 8000mAh: ~9.5 minute flight time

So yeah, for the price its definitely worth it assuming they have a comparable life time. I certainly couldn';t tell any difference in performance.

3000mah for 90 seconds of extra flight! doesn';t seem that great to be honest, did you do any high throttle climbs to see if there was any performance difference?

Revs

I';ve got some 4000 4s to try at some point. I';ll report back here once tested.

Right? That';s how I felt too. I had two flights with the multistar over the weekend hitting the throttle hard and it performed great. I just couldn';t tell any difference in duration so that';s why I went for the 3 battery tests earlier, all of which were sitting hovers in GPS mode hands completely off the sticks.

The multistar was something like $50 and the others about $80 each so figure I might buy more once available. Only downside is at 10C I imagine one would need the 16000mAh battery to run more than 4 of the bigger batteries.

After testing my 4000 4s 10c battery it seems it';s doing a good job. With my A-spec 2600 4s I was getting ~14mins hover time but with the MultiStar I';m getting ~20 mins. That';s with 20-25% battery remaining.

Both batteries are similar weights (320g vs 340g) and the current draw at hover is ~8.9A.

Good result, I';m pleased with it and will be getting a couple more
