If you have, what do you think of it, how did the build go and was there any missing parts in the kit?

The reason I ask is because I';m thinking of upgrading my hex frame.
My friend recently bought a Tarot Pro hex frame and he said there were missing parts in the kit when it arrived, important parts too.

Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

Hi DarkButterfly, I built a Tarot FY680 a few months ago, only managed to fly it a few time so far but seems to survive relatively low height crashes well  Mines got a GoPro and gimbal on it, plus the batteries are slung underneath letting me have the 680Pro canopy fitted.
The overall quality is great, with no missing parts in my case - though I have heard some variations on this.
The "manual" is the usual chinese rubbish, mainly pictures, but you can de-cipher it enough to work out how it goes together. The landing skid mountings are the worst as they make you think you have two arm mountings missing, but they';re part of the skid.
The worst parts are the plastic clips that allow the arms (and legs) to fold, the early ones were very brittle and break easily, they have apparently been upgraded now. I always put a smear of silicon grease on them and open/close them gently.
Probably a good idea to tie-wrap them in place in use (especially the legs!), as they have a habit of folding on impact
I';ve upgraded mine to have the later 680Pro motor mounts so I can use 13" propellers
The only bit that broke when I crashed from about 10m up was one of the horizontal leg tubes - these are too thin and the mountings are weak.
Overall I';m very impressed, looks cool too  it';s a great frame.
Hope this helps

Hi,

I built a FY680. The build was very nice and painless with no missing parts. That said, I';ve heard that there are a few chinese copies around where the parts and carbon isn';t as good. Buzzflier and Heliguy are 2 uk suppliers and they';re not that much more expensive than buying from china and you have uk support. The only thing i didnt like was the fragile landing gear, so i upgraded those straight away.
