Has anyone seen this? http://www.emlid.com.  NAVIO is an autopilot shield for the Raspberry Pi and they are currently porting the APM code base.

A bit pricey at $149 but looks like a cool platform for tinkerers.

lol, this is interesting, I was just writing up my project while you posted the reference  ~~

to get your RPi flying you certainly do not need $149 device, I';ve been doing this stuff for a year now and the thing you need is $5 Arduino and connect it to RPi  :laugh:

Unless you really want APM then maybe, but I';d rather suggest to buy a cheap APM and wire it to your RPi over SPI. It is not difficult and many people would be interested in such solution!
