Yet another new battery tech.

Will this be the next big thing in portable power, the one we';ve all been waiting for? Chances are it won';t but that doesn';t stop us hoping.

Something has to break at any old time now ... Everyone has been trying hard enough to get over the limitations of existing chemistry.  A lot of tech has been created in the lab but it has not been possible to turn into a manufacturing process. 

Already some have said that this latest notion is not likely to have the sufficiently high enough C rating to power electric motors. So fine for tech such as mobiles and laptops but not for EVs (and that would exclude use for our aircraft).  But don';t take my word for that ...

Titanium dioxide nanotubes... sounds cheap to make

A 5 minute charge 5000mah battery in a 100g package would be nice though

But don';t forget, for our purposes, it is as much about how quickly we can access that charge also. We';re capable of pulling 60 - 90 amps, or more. That 5000mAh battery has got to be capable of delivering to that demand without turning into an incendiary device.
